Kolkata, 1st November 2025: The city witnessed an evening of elegance, empowerment, and inspiration as Aneebee Entertainments presented Sharanya Season 5 × Aqua Divine Season 2 “Shakti in Motion” in association with Eastern Metropolitan Club and TRI Events & Entertainment. The grand event, curated by Anita Dutta and her dedicated team, took place at the Eastern Metropolitan Club, Kolkata celebrating the powerful theme — “Women in Sports.”

This year’s edition honored the remarkable achievements of women and men athletes who have represented India at national and international levels. The event blended fashion, performance, and empowerment spotlighting women and men who have redefined boundaries through their passion and perseverance.

Celebrating excellence and resilience in sports, the event honoured achievers, Hupi Majhi (Odisha), Captain of the Indian Women’s Rugby Team, who led India at the Olympic Qualifiers in Osaka, Tarunika Ghosh (21 years), a young para-athlete who started as a swimmer and evolved into a multi-sport runner, winning medals in the Para Olympics, Arun Kumar Singh (70+ years) a veteran athlete and Asian Masters gold medalist, who began his athletic journey at 55 and continues to inspire generations and Mr. Shital Prasad Gupta, Entrepreneur working for women empowerment, recognized for his contributions to uplifting women through entrepreneurship and community work.

The evening also featured an energetic Taekwondo demonstration by athletes from the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI) Ms. Mallika Samanta, Ms. Jaya Rozario, Mr. Pallab Malo and Mr. Ajoy Sardar. Their performance embodied the event’s theme of discipline, strength and self-belief — qualities central to both sports and womanhood.

गौरतलब है कि विदेशी महिला फ़िल्म निर्मात्री मिलिंडा बी डोगरा भारतीय संस्कृति के प्रभावित होकर छठ माता की महिमा पर आधारित फिल्म ‘आस्था छठी मइया’ का निर्माण कर रही हैं। उन्होंने छठ पूजा मे शामिल होकर छठ मइया की महिमा एवं व्रत के बारे में बारीकी से गहन अध्ययन किया है। उनका मानना है कि लोक आस्था का प्रतीक छठ माता की पूजा देश-विदेश के लोग भी ज्ञात कर सकें। इस फिल्म का इंग्लिश भाषा में डब करके तथा इंग्लिश सबटाइटल के साथ विदेशों में भी रिलीज की जाएगी।

एनआरआई प्रोड्यूसर मिलिंडा बी डोगरा का कहना है कि ‘जब हम भारत आए थे तो यहाँ देखा कि बहुत सुंदर छठ मइया का पर्व अस्था विश्वास और श्रद्धा पूर्वक मनाया जाता है। फिर मैंने और भी ज्यादा पढ़ा तथा जाना कि कितना खूबसूरत कल्चर है भारत के बिहार, उत्तर प्रदेश का। ज्यादा जानकारी हासिल पर पता चला चौवालीस करोड़ लोग इस छठ पर्व को मनाते हैं। फिर लगा क्यों ना हम भी इस पर फिल्म बनाएं। कुछ लोग सनातन धर्म का तिरस्कार करते हैं, इसलिए हम स्वच्छ तरीके से ये फ़िल्म बना रहे हैं। दादा अपनी पोती के साथ इस फ़िल्म को देख सकते हैं। ससुर अपनी बहू के साथ ये फ़िल्म देख सकते हैं।’

18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025 Announced For 10th To 12th December

Noida, October 2025 — The much-awaited 18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025 has been officially scheduled to take place from 11th to 13th December 2025 at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The announcement was made by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of the Festival.

Over the past seventeen editions, the Global Film Festival Noida has grown into one of the most prestigious and vibrant international film festivals of India, celebrating the power of cinema as a tool for cultural exchange, artistic excellence, and global harmony.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah stated, “The Global Film Festival Noida has become a symbol of creativity and collaboration, bringing together filmmakers, artists, and media professionals from across the world. The 18th edition will continue our mission to promote world cinema and strengthen global unity through art and culture.”

The three-day festival will feature film screenings, workshops, seminars, masterclasses, panel discussions, cultural programs, and special award ceremonies. It will showcase a wide range of films from India and abroad, offering an exceptional platform for emerging talent and established filmmakers alike.

Organized by Marwah Studios in association with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and AAFT – Asian Academy of Film and Television, the Global Film Festival continues to promote India as a hub of media and entertainment excellence.
